paul gallen?
whispers over here are saying he thinks he may have 1 year left and he always wanted to play in super league --- he is over there playing a game at wakey soon??? love the theories ha ha
Paul Gallen type players can go two ways, they are either inspirational or hugely disruptive, usually the latter. To be a Paul Gallen you have to be on top of your game because they are that kind of player, anything less will be spotted immediately by the opposition and more importantly their own players. To be a lead from the front all action player you have to be just that.
Brough just about gets away with being a little bit past it by still possessing a set of non age related skills that occasionally win games, but on a bad day, well lets say it doesn’t go unnoticed. PG has no such luxury, he’s a player whose game is hugely based on physicality and endurance, both of which wain over time.
I’m not saying he couldn’t do it, he’s been a truly great player, but he’d better be sure because despite what many think SL is no picnic and it’s proved a graveyard for the reputation of many an NRL ‘star’ in the past.
