It's no wonder fans are turning away from the game hate the way they fiddle with the rules

They have no reason to be unhappy about the re-draw.
Their only upset was getting done by Toronto, which was purely down to themselves.

You cant lose and then come back in, things are messed up enough already.

We lost fair and square to Toronto so no complaints from me or the Giants fans I speak to. Looking at the future fixtures it will be nice for our players to have the odd weekend off

The draws for the Sixth Round and Quarter Finals of the 2020 Coral Challenge Cup will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday July 29.

Following this morning’s announcement that this year’s iteration of the competition will be reworked following withdrawals on account of the Coronavirus pandemic, it has now been agreed that both draws will take place at Media City, Manchester, hosted by the BBC’s Dave Woods, with St Helens and Great Britain legend Paul Sculthorpe MBE drawing the all-important numbers.
He will draw both the home and away teams, given the current public health advice.

Both draws will be covered live on the Our League app and website, as well as via the BBC Sport Website via text commentary.

Four of the 10 teams will be drawn out at random to take part in the two Sixth Round clashes, whilst the remaining six sides will receive a bye to the quarter finals.

Those six teams will remain in the hat for the Quarter Final draw, which will follow immediately, with numbers 11 and 12 added to represent the winners of the two sixth round ties.

Ball numbers for Sixth Round and Quarter Finals:

Castleford Tigers
Catalans Dragons
Hull FC
Hull Kingston Rovers
Leeds Rhinos
Salford Red Devils
St Helens
Wakefield Trinity
Warrington Wolves (holders)
Wigan Warriors

11. Winner of Sixth Round Tie 1
12. Winner of Sixth Round Tie 2

The two Sixth Round ties will be played at the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield on Saturday August 22 – with both shown live on the BBC.

The Quarter Finals will take place on the weekend of September 18-20, to be televised by the BBC and Sky Sports.

Just had a thought re rules changing. Does anyone know if the challenge cup games will be played under normal SL rules, Or under the latest, six again and no scrums. Have the game’s administrators even thought about which set of rules the CC will be played to.

So if we fail to draw a bye do we get to go for a best of 3?

Simple fair solution would be a three ball draw representing the three existing ties, first existing tie drawn cancelled and those two teams progress.
The other two games played on TV and the teams who had been fortunate in the original legitimate draw, who probably had a more than fair chance of getting through (though ours wouldn't be easy) also progress. Then quarters drawn as normal.
Much fairer in my opinion, a solution that no-one could really complain about and no-one potentially worse off than in the original draw.
Could do with a sign at RL HQ with a quote from Thank You For Smoking, "go smash you're head against your desk til something useful comes out".

Much simpler solution would be to leave it as it is......

Can't, would only be 7 teams for Q finals.
