Why do we need to change it?
If posters want to go and watch Magic at Elland Rd, that's their look out.

I know it's not popular with some people but think Friday night's will come back once we are back up. Matt's already alluded to this.

I've attended all the weekends Wakefield have participated in but have zero interest in paying to watch other clubs only. Record them all and watch them at home.

Agree should read so called Wakefield fans

That's the SL issue for me, this season so far has been great for fixtures only one move so far and that's an earlier kick off at Barrow. Personally I am not a fan of Fridays and even less when sky start fixture meddling.

I cannot see any reason to move the Widnes clash due to it conflicting with Magic at Elland Road. SL don't give a hoot about the Championship. I am pretty sure if Wakey or Widnes fans went to Ella d Road it would be small numbers, on the other hand we could get a bumper crowd on a Sunday with Widnes travelling in numbers as we did over there. A Friday night game would reduce away support and impact the atmosphere in my opinion

I prefer our Sunday games, but don't mind Friday evenings...there's something a bit special about watching the game under floodlights. My biggest concerns about moving it would be the effect on the Widnes players who may have work commitments to consider, and the reduction in Widnes' travelling support because Friday and the M62 is hell!

For the last 16 years of Magic Weekend no fixtures outside of SL have been re-arranged to accommodate it, why would anyone think that this year should be any different?

What a shame that would be.

We released our fixtures about a month after Magic was announced, why would we change it now?

Sunday games are fantastic.

The amount of young fans in the stands on a warm sunny afternoon I’m sure is contributing to our crowds going well.

I would absolutely love us to stay with Sunday rugby. Being a parent to a child who’s usually in bed by 8:30pm Friday night games are a poor option.

The game will not be swapped to Friday and rightly so . The players have been given 4 days off after the friday game week before i believe so would not have time to prepare . However on that Sunday 11th august there is a charity cricket match on behalf of Matty Ashurts testimonial berween a Trinity select x1 and Wakefield Thornes x1 at Wakefield thornes ground , field lane , Thornes wf2 9ry . Family day out , starting 1.30pm . Further details to follow but please make a note in diary . Come watch your heroes past and present in a different format .
