Re: club statement : Sun Jan 03, 2021 8:42 am
So let's reflect
According to some we have a fat lazy player who's intent on getting away,
A captain who should be stripped of the honour.
A group of players showing no respect to season ticket owners who let the club keep last seasons money.
A serial offender whose a bad influence on other grown men.
An ex captain who should have put a stop to the party.
A concerned Shuds. Supported suggesting a player exchange deal.
A cas supporter feeling ever so sorry for season ticket owners. And the rest of the squad.
Wholesale clearance of the players.
A spell on the wards of an hospital getting in the way of front line workers.
I could go on but it needs to be left to the club.
How about we purchase some stocks and pay a quid to throw rotton fruit and veg at em.

You are absolutely correct and in reality I doubt they put anyone at risk. The Covid rules are riddled with levels of ridiculousness that would embarrass a North Korean.
There is so much hypocrisy and faux outrage over Covid it makes you weep. Take the unchallenged BLM protests that did mor to spread Covid than this pin prick ever will. Truth is as a society we don’t have the guts to go after the real villains in all this, we prefer silly meaningless side shows.

However that’s not the point for two reasons. One is the fact that they simply shouldn’t have broken the law and two they most definitely shouldn’t have advertised it.

I hate the use of the phrase ‘roll models’ it’s crass meaningless nonsense imho. They should be condemned simply for being bad citizens. Sadly like it or not if they were procecuted as such I reckon about 10 million would have been arrested that night.

I rarely turn on players but on this occasion as it stands I really don’t want to see some of these players in a Trinity shirt again. Even if they do come round and start to play a bit I honestly feel I will struggle to support them as much as I’d like to.

As for Dave in particular, you could have been a club legend but due to your attitude all the good stuff you did is being forgotten. Either fit in bog off.

Whilst I think some parts of your answer have merit, you didn’t say who you think the fans would blame if we got relegated having sacked the lot of them?

They will blame you MC

But who cares anyway, they will always blame the BOD and the Coach first, many are as bright as some of the layers involved in this.

However, the club must rule the players.

Can you imagine how players like TJ, Crowther and say Batch feel now. They I assume have played to the rules only to see these ‘senior’ clowns behave like this!

If anything will get us relegated it won’t be sacking Fifita it will be disenchanting these lads.

That’s the first good thing to happen this year. Now let’s get to the heart of the issue.

Is he one of the players involved?. If so, have the club taken action, or has he resigned?

Can imagine most involved will get a fine. However, given his previous antics I think it’s quite clear a change of scenery might be best for Fifita.

If I was Wakey I’d be looking to do a player swap. However clubs might not be as reluctant to want him given the constant issues.

You are pathetic, are you really this desperate to pints score. If you are so morally bankrupt as to want a player like this you can have him.

Then we can sit and laugh at your ludicrous and arrogant idea that a change of scenery at the mighty Giants will change this player.

Let me remind you that Fifita is 32 this year and has in all that time only managed two and a half decent seasons of RL. Think about it.

Does it matter, Gigots gone.
That's one hell of a result.

He was involved, perhaps it was him who posted it.

Yeah, the more I've thought about it, I think you're right. It reflects badly on the club and is a bit of a kick in the nads for everyone who is sacrificing so much.

I tend to agree with Fifita. The fact that he was a fringe player at Cronulla at a time when his twin brother was the best player in the Grand Final and regularly being picked for Tonga tells a lot. He doesn't have the commitment to be a top player. He has enough natural talent to make an impact over here, but he's only useful if he is actually making an impact, which he hasn't for a while. So, no impact and a negative impact on club culture, and he is an expensive addition.

Gigot leaving tells us all we need to know about him. Sulky has-been. The fact that he wasn't wanted at Catalans, the club that should be his natural home, is a sign. His career is on the wane, which is a shame. Let him sulk elsewhere.
