Well said. No matter how many it was (oh and it was more than the 4 that people are trying to claim) and how long they lasted the chants were disgusting but the attempts to try and justify them on here are just unbelievable. I have to worry about the mentality of those people just as much as those who committed the acts. It is NOT acceptable, ever.

Do you think it could be about time that the United Nations issued a decree that ALL nations could be allowed to take the mick out of each other? This way we could possibly all, irrespective of race or creed, officially have a good laugh without having to look over our shoulders all the time. The world may then be a friendlier place.

I suppose when racial prejudice and hate cease to exist than maybe they could look into that.

You cant protect your kids from everything. They are going to hear things you don't want them to hear, but i don't want to take them to a place where people are singing songs such as that and it is tolerated.

When I referred to 4-5 fans this was the song about the Bradford fire.

The other song mentioned on here involved more than that.

Think this thread shows that the majority of fans are on the same page regardless of which club these morons support.

The few who are making excuses really need to wake up and realise that in this day and age racism in any form is unacceptable - under no circumstances can you class that as 'banter'

Nobody is saying its acceptable but what were Bradford fans fans expecting, if you were from Bradford and went to any other town or City chanting derogatory comments about it you will get the same response. I was once at a Leeds Bradford final when Bradford were chanting to Leeds you're just a town full of Jews (using another term) with Leeds chanting your just a town full of Asians (using another term) never saw anything in the press about that. It was wrong but has been blown out of all proportion.

See above for plenty of examples of internet outrage; you try to keep an ugly incident in perspective, and you're guilty of condoning it - again, a logical fallacy.

For clarity, with all but perhaps one worrying exception, everyone agrees that any racist chanting is wrong - a few people were allegedly involved and hopefully, they'll be dealt with; despite the best efforts of some people to illustrate otherwise, it still doesn't mean that the club has widespread issues with supporters.
