That's the one thing I haven't got is why the cas fans are desperate for us not to get a new stadium. I'll never forget the reaction on the independent ginner forum when the community stadium got called in last december they loved it, must be the small town mentality. Anyway thought everything was moving on fine with GH and opus were the saviours getting the best price ever for wheldon road and it was all sorted just a case of dotting the I's and crossing the t's so why do they feel so insecure about our city & district community stadium

If Newmarket passes the PI, Cas will play there with us in 2-3 years time.

On the other Cas forum there is talk of the inquiry being hijacked by protesters, they also mention Mike Harding the folk singer visiting Newmarket to inspect the site.He is performing in Wakefield and apparenly has something to do with the ramblers association.Anybody else heard anything about this?

Right, I have just popped over to the other forum to have a look.

It seems that one poster is intimating that TRB and I know something about something, and that something may or may not include Mike Harding and the Ramblers Association and we may know about some plan that 'they' are planning for the day. It also intimates that because we may, or may not, know something, we are worried about what we do or don't know and are therefore telling everyone not to be complacent!!!

Well, I am as confused as you are and 'we' are nothing but positive about the whole PI process and changing government policy. 'We' are telling people not to be complacent because 'we' are not being complacent and because complacency often leads to arrogance and breeds contempt, and we don't want either to become a feature of our support to this scheme, win or lose!

I hope that clears that up!

So, no idea about this Mike Harding thing, or anything else that has been posted on the other forum, but I am not worried either way... we are not being complacent, we are open and ready for anything.

Is this purely a SWAG thing, or will the club be adding players/coaches/CEOs and owners to the list?

We will be aiming to muster all and any who are able to come down and join us.

We have met this week to discuss various aspects of the event itself and period around it and will have more details as we get nearer the time.

This is Wakefield's chance to provide facilities for sport in the 21st century - let's make sure it happens!

Oh, and in case anyone else is reading this - I am cautious - not concerned!

This is getting silly, we'll need an enigma machine soon so that the code crackers can't tell what we're talking about

I know, I was talking about the eavesdroppers not being able to understand our coded messages.

I doubt there are many budding Alan Turings out there in Cas land.

I don't know if I've been living in a bubble but who is Mike Harding? I'm pretty sure he’s not someone to sway public opinion heavily or have such a high profile that media will be swarming around him. All sounds desperate wishful thinking on our opponent’s behalf.
