Peter Box is live on BBC Radio Leeds, 'in the hot-seat' tomorrow morning, allegedly answering questions via a phone in.
I will never get the hours back I have spent listening to the lies and denials that come out of the mouth of Box. I am not going to bother listening to anymore.
Whats the saying? 'Actions speak louder than words'
Just look at his actions over the years that tells you all you need to know.
What the most frustrating thing for me is while we've had 4 years waiting on every word of Sociopaths like Rodney Walker and Box the opportunities we've potentially lost. Several big developments have occurred around Wakefield in recent years each one of these should of been a chance for us to latch onto a 106 agreement. The Eastern Ring Road been one that springs to mind. As for Dewsbury, it's not a realistic option and I suspect all at club know this and are just using it as a negotiating position to put pressure on the seller. The trouble been we already played that card last year. Basically the Council and YCP have put us in it bigtime.
Feel free to ask him questions about the development; he'll repeat the dismissive lies he used last time - "nothing to do with us, it's an arrangement between the Club and the Developer." Which it isn't.
Legal challenge is probably all that remains, but that's expensive.
I think Mick Carter Believes waiting for Yorkcourt to cough up is like waiting for Goddo , It will never happen.
As for buying back Belle Vue , if I could get Odds, I would put money on that an 'acceptable offer' to the ban has not been made. The place is for sale, if you have the money its yours, why else would the bank hold out ?
The location itself would not put me off, hiwever the wider perception could be damaging long term. We barely get the support at BV. Give people an excuse to not watch and they will take it. A move out of the district, all be it marginally, would see crowds drop further.
Look how well nomad clubs get on in sport? That will give an indication to what's in store, especially for a regime who won't spend money on promotion of the club.
It sounds like we don't have much of a choice but as a club we certainly won't prosper playing out of Dewsbury.

Mackie played his hand 4 years ago when he shafted the club over Newcold. It was clear then what his stance was. We will get zilch out of Yorkcourt and if they were forced to they would just liquidate themselves and start up again.
Someone needs to investigate Box in all of this. Clearly there is a reason for his obstructive manner over this subject. The cynic in me suspects it's financial.

Khlav
Totally correct, but lets not forget Mackie could not have played that hand with out considerable help of Wakefield Council. In my mind they are the real villains in all this.
'That is why no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party.... So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin'

Salford had 2,200 there the other day in a new stadium and the noises seem to be that the location has had an impact. And that's without moving into someone else's ground. What chance has Dewsbury got of working for us realistically? I just can't see it. It looks like a slow death which ever way we turn

Fully agree, this plan has origins deep within the town hall. Box needs investigating. Another Freedom of information request needed maybe, although I can't say I expect anything of worth to have been written down.

Something that we have discussed and are prepared to do if that is all that is left open to us.
