Re: Warrington : Mon Feb 17, 2020 2:17 am
Real shame if Westerman has picked up an injury...hope he’s alright!

I suspected he had picked up a knock because I thought at the game if he’d been taken off for a breather I felt sure he would have come back on for the last ten when we went in front with his experience!

Looking at the stats just backs up what I thought at the game...he was excellent...in his 52 minute stint...33 tackles with just 1 miss and one of only two forwards in the game to make over 100 metres...the other being Philbin...

After game interview with cc , said he had three players pressing in walker , green and fafita.

Would be really surprised and disappointed if we dropped max - one of the big differences between kr and Warrington was our take of the high ball and reading the last play. Thought he was outstanding.

Fafita and green have to come into the squad, obviously given the short turn round we may have a few injuries. Certainly Westerman picked up a bang. Although if fit he’d be my first name on the team sheet. Be interesting to see and after yesterday am looking forward to going

Westerman definitely had a problem with his shoulder.

I'm sure he'll find a mallet somewhere and knock it back in place.

I think we need to start to differentiate between knocks and injuries. I don't know which he has by the way but we have to expect some players will receive knocks during a game. Knocks that may force them to miss training or perhaps a game or two are just part of it and the reason we need a squad. Hopefully, Westerman has just picked up a knock. I realise why we are a bit edgy but in all honesty, I'd expect at least one knock/modest injury per game.

Fingers crossed because I to have been impressed with the bloke and he was probably my big worry signing. That said, we scored both tries after he went off so it's clearly not the end of the world. :D

Happy to have been proved entirely wrong; I had to listen on the radio due to a family commitment - and whilst it didn't sound pretty, it did sound like we were the stronger for the majority of the game. Very much looking forward to watching it back on Trinity TV - just to see TJ in full flight!

Yeah I agree re Max. He was quality and will only get better with game time. IMO, albeit disappointing for the lad, Walker should wait his chance just as Max had to.
The forwards are different, we have quality in numbers now, and it would do only good I think to rotate them, now and then allowing the likes of Fifita and Green to play against Cas.

Westerman was my main concern from the new arrivals but he seems to be getting on with his job.
It will be in my opinion a season of surprises and totally unexpected results. It interesting on the Wire board that they are saying 2 points against Saints and two thrown away against Wakefield. I think that will probably sum things up for most teams all season.

Did anyone on here seriously see that coming?
An outstanding performance from 1-17.
The lads I stand with - we all picked a different MOTM - which shows the application they all put in.
I've not seen a performance like that for a long time.....
Made the (its always our year) Wire look very ordinary.
Same team v Cas.....
Cant wait for Friday!!!
Up the Trin!

I certainty didn't see it but am happy to be proven wrong by this team
