Personally, I too think regarding Owen, it should have been treated seperately.

Whatever happened in the accident happened, prior to that, the lad was recovering from a very bad leg break.

Another attempt to make an issue where there isn't one. The club supported Owen through his rehab and subsequent injuries what more do you want ffs. Truth is Owen is just an unlucky player and his time in the elite levels was just plain over, sad but it happens so the club announcement was spot on.

I'm not talking about announcing his release- fair enough. I'm talking about tagging it on to an announcement about a player being involved in a police incident -like its relevant, or as an afterthought!

I agree Jools, it surely wouldn't have taken too much longer to write two separate press releases, perhaps even a short Bio on Owen to cover his departure
