Not specifically aimed at any one club, but rugby league does seem to have its fair share of idiots who flout rules.
At first glance the Wakefield one is quite serious and the club are rightly upset about it.
There have also been breaches by Wigan and Warrington players last year (clubs also upset and took action) and probably a few others too.

Idiots - the lot of them.

Footballers who have flouted the rules are no better. They may be millionaires, but idiots all the same.

I'm a role model to my children, as is my wife, and we have broken the law over the festive period as we saw my brother.

It's not the right thing to do, but then again some would question the current trend for "cancel culture" as a means of feeling empowerment.

An internal review should be sufficient I would have thought, and Jay Pitts becoming captain.

its hardly the same as hold a party or even breaking into a church and setting up a rave where hundreds attend,
My sister too came over and spent an hour in our company as we rarely see each other I was dambed if I was going to stand in the street as I've seen other breaking the rulings of covid regular, as it is we have our house up for sale and have had veiwings where we exit the house and leave it to the estate agent to complete so we just kept a distance chatted and said our good byes without hugs

Pitt’s wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter for me with the options we have.

Honestly I would go with a local wakey lad like Crowther or Batchelor. Batchelor always comes across as vocal and these lads who have come through the system will make great options for leadership imo.

You’ve shot down your own argument there. As neither of those two are guaranteed selections either due to rotations and team selection for various game plans.

Best positions for captains are FB or HB. So I suppose Jowitt is your man.

I think most teams these days have leadership groups. We used to have a pretty efficient triumvirate in Kirmond, Sykes and Mathers during Agar’s era.

I would go for something similar. I do think as punishment Miller should be relieved from captaincy until he can earn it back.

The last thing Jowett needs is the burden of captaincy.

He's just getting his game in order.

It's not just about being vocal. You can't just give it to a kid cos they come from Wakefield.
Pitts is the most experienced captain.
Depends what Miller has to say for himself I guess.
Quite liked how it worked when Lyne was captain but leadership is something we've lacked for a while so needs to be thought about.
