I would remind everyone that without the amateur game and clubs like Siddal there would be no Rugby League for us to support. They came out first, their ground was approved so end of story.

I don’t think people need reminding of the blatantly obvious. Nobody has mentioned about the amateur game not having value as the sports foundations. Nobody is disputing they have the right to decide either.

I wanted to go to the Comedy Night at my local pub but when I rang up for tickets they were sold out. I was furious and told them they should have held it at the pub down the road, it’s bigger. Guess what the response was?!?

I have supported Trinity for over 65 years, plus in the past watched many an amateur game, but at the age of almost 73 I am not at all enthused about standing in mud and grass behind a barrier probably six or so deep in spectators.
Thus I will not be attending as I regard the facilities not up to standard .

And that is your perogative, just as its Siddal's to play the game at their ground. It's a big day for them, and I hope it's a brilliant day for the club and it's supporters (apart from the result, obviously).

What about last season (sorry to bring it up) but the East Stand was closed and I am sure the temporary seating had a lower capacity and was open to the elements. I wonder if some were unable to attend because they could not get a seat.

We live in 2024 pt if your disabled everywhere you go have to provide for you wakefield themselves had to provide a seated stand so folk could attend and sit whilst the stand was been built here its not the case so im sure there is some authority out there who would say the disabled are been dscriminated against here remember not all disabled people are in wheelchairs.thats the point im making

The clue there is that there was tempory seating i dont know if it was ever sold out my wife used it every home game but there was still an option at siddal there isnt other than take a camping chair and is that really an option.i think its noble of siddalto host they obviously want to host to give them a chance of winning but for me the rfl shouldnt allow it they should make all amutuer sides play away when playing pro sides unlessits somwhere like saddelworth who have a seated stand
