At a guess the north stand cards may have been ordered by the previous owners who could've had every intention to sell the stand split between upper and lower. ME had a different policy but saw no reason to order new ones, but it has led to confusion. Teething problems, nothing more.

Fans whinging over nothing. Why don’t they ring the club or go to the shop for clarity. I mean we even had someone pipe up about the social media content when it went a bit quiet around Christmas time.

Bring on the season when we can talk about the rugby. Luckily I’m in the new stand so don’t have to get in super early for a band. I’m sure fans will be fine with it, it all worked fine last season so shouldn’t be any issues on actual game day.

Think fans are just craving the rugby starting and fighting the boredom.

That’s the key, teething problems, but some people are too self absorbed to accept that and ho off on the slightest issue. I tell you now we have a rotten element in our fan base and it will test Ellis to the limit in the next few years. I wish him luck.

I think towards the end of the Carter and Minards era, fans became divided, by them, and more and more people started to air their views more, and the longer it went on, there were more folk turning on them.

However, the negativity, has vastly reduced over the past three months ago, even from the mozt critical.

Are they rotten to the core, no not neccesarily.

Only because we’re not playing rugby yet!
The very ‘fans’ we’re referring to are the ones who will expect e whitewash in the championship and it is not going to happen!
Don’t worry they’ll be out with the venom if we lose a couple on the bounce- and that could well happen!

That's quite possible but I think these problems could have been made known earlier. Obviously things have been exacerbated by the cheap tickets and freebee offers dragging in many more fans than expected. The repeated noises coming from the club when the tickets came on sale last year suggested that there would be only one option for the North Stand giving the impression of free movement. Wasn't someone in the office aware of any two option card order that may already have been placed with the printer?
Then people turn up to pick up the tickets two or three months later and no one from the club had the foresight to issue fresh info until fans started posting comments on FB.

Personally after what Matt Ellis has done for our club, which to be clear is only the small matter of saving us from oblivion, I would be asking those people who are complaining to come to the shop where their season ticket money will be returned and advised that their support is not required.

Wasn't that Carter's attitude though? Think we've moved on at the top but somewhere underneath needs to help ME a bit more.

I do think a lot of the fickle returnees, stayaways and bandwagon jumpers will drop out if we lose a couple of early games which should remove any crowd problems in the NS.

Regardless of Ellis stepping in and taking over the club, there still needs to open communication with the fans and the fans have a voice that needs to be listened too. It's 'our club' after all.

I'm sure that was one of the area's he highlighted that was a problem and was looking to improve
