There are some excellent ideas on here - if anyone has a contact at the club they should suggest them as ideas to act on. It wouldn't surprise me if there are some things already in planning but always worth giving positive ideas from the fans.

1) Reserve team to join the minutes silence on the pitch - excellent thought. The directors usually join in the line up on the pitch and giving the players who were there when this happend the chance to join the remembrance of Leon could help them realise the support they have from the public.

2) Promoting the next reserve game on 4th April : I was dubious about this as a big crowd may put more pressure on the lads playing in their first game since the tragedy. However, as the crowd will be there for the right reasons then it is worth pursuing. While it will be in memory of Leon, it will be to support the lads to keep on going. If the game could be publicised at the Saints game on Friday and the Leigh cup match the week after that should get a few more people down. Making it free admission or admission by donation would be even better : I doubt that the number of fans usually paying for the reserve game will make a big difference to the clubs bank balance and more could be made from donations / food & drink sales, etc. The only risk for this is that the club need to arrange & pay for stewarding for whatever number of people will be attending so they would need to have a rough idea of how many would turn up.

3) When the game at Celtic Crusaders is rearranged, make it at a convenient time for most supporters (Saturday 3pm or 5pm would be reasonable). Then see if a coach company is willing to provide as many coaches as needed to take as many fans as possible to the game & back either at basic cost price or even better at subsidised prices or free of charge. Someone will have to pay for the coaches / drivers / petrol but if we can make it as cheap as possible to get a big turnout it would hep the team and would give us a chance to thank Celtic for their support during and after this tragic event.

I'm sure there are other great ideas around and as time passes there will be time to review them but the support for the first reserve game needs to be worked on from Friday onwards if it is deemed to be a good thing to do by the club and Leon's family.

I like the idea of the reserve team players going onto the pitch for the miniute silence, that would be a nice mark of respect.

The next reserve game, i think the lads would appreciate the support and hopefuly a lot more than normal. They will want to do Leon proud and like the first team I am sure they will.

As for the Celtic away fixture, i shall be there. Eithier go for weekend or go for the day if a coach is put on by eithier supporters clubs.
