Don't get the animosity towards the Express on this one? It's the way it would be reported in any walk of life.....a footballer.....soapstar......popstar......they would always point you to somewhere in their life they may have been a bit famous for......in no way putting Trinity in a bad light....
Who is going to read that and think bad of us or Cas as a club because he was a former player?
If it helps more people be drawn to the story and more people be able to identify what a vile and disgusting man he without doubt is, then I applaud the Express![/quote]
Totally agree, I don't think any blame can be put on the WE this time. It's a local newspapers job to report on local news and put it into a local context. The majority of people who knew/know of Eden are probably through his career as a rugby player in the area, therefore it goes without saying that when someone in the spotlight commits a crime its reported with the samekind of publicity they originally received. Think about Stuart Hall or Jimmy Saville how much came out of the woodwork after it was reported. This is a sad connection for the clubs and fans who supported him as a player, but thats nothing compared to the victims. Its more important that a light is shone upon it and it doesn't get lost with a couple of lines hidden somewhere. It doesn't really affect either club, its a long time ago, its just tragic that someone who was once admired is not who we all thought. Shameful, dispicable and tragic, but don't shoot the messenger.
