Probably due to the heat. However he has to present a threat to the defence first to try and pull them out of shape for the runners

Positives:
Much better attitude from all the players
Confidence returning
Being right in the game at 70 mins despite being 12 down very early
BSmith clearly having an impact

Negatives:
Still pretty one dimensional
Struggling to make many metres in a lot of our sets
Last tackle kicks frequently very poor still
Too few runners or dummy runners
Some players not good enough even for us we really need 3/4 signings minimum very quickly

But he doesn't really, he has to probe the front of the defence, see a gap and his runners have to run the right lines, he picks them out, hands them the ball and it gives the defenders bags of trouble. Easy.

With a free week Im sure Mr Smith can take the next step with the players both team and individual . I would hope a couple of new faces may also be on the way.

Lee Smith anyone?? Definitely available as he's touting himself around in today's League Express. Is he good enough any more or better than what we have is the question?

Not sure about Lee Smith. He was slowing down before he left for the retirement code so unless he has found a new fitness level over there I would prefer another option.
But he certainly has skills and if that's all we can get it's probably an improvement on Arundal.

I would give Lee Smith a go Would it be a record to have 4 Smiths at one time. He can also kick goals and unless we have another option at centre get him .

Lee Smith is well past his best - yet he's better than anything we have - so yes. Think he'd work well with young Johnstone.

That's a good point. I think he would bring Johnstone on no end. The thing about Lee is he can take aa good thump before parting with the ball. Johntone would probably get that extra time and would certainly have more space.

What would a Cockney know about rugby league?

Lee Smith would be a good signing at reasonable cost. Be great next to Johnstone.
