FFS. Still no compo to pay. Every cloud I suppose.
Sorry mate but this sums up what's wrong with the mentality of Trinity fans and I know you're one of the better one!
I don’t know Chris Chester other than he speaks quite eloquently on interviews.
He has a one year SL coaching history which can only be viewed as mixed. He had a season average of 52% wins or 1 in 2, jeez what we’d give for that. He also got his team to Wembley on his first attempt so again not bad. That said he had a much team or certainly a better resourced one.
His only real error for me was not picking his CCup team on form instead relying on an injured player, that said Leeds were not going to be beaten by anyone on the day Sinfield and Peacock hung up their boots.
His dismissal from HKR seemed hugely premature by any standards. If the lad still has the enthusiasm and has learned lessons from last year he will be a better Coach second time around.
One things for certain, he knows the local scene which IMHO is crucial for a club like ours.
He also seems to suffer from a perceived slight against Trinity some years ago as a player. This seems to revolve around him rejecting a move to his home club whilst at Hull. Seriously can you blame him.
He may not be the coaching giant that Smith was but for decks sake can we just give him a chance before condemning him, for the life of me I can’t see what he’s done not to deserve that courtesy.
I know it’s nit the way of some on here who just seem to take pleasure in slagging off just about anyone who isn’t Wally Lewis. However doing so is utterly counter productive in my opinion as the choice has been made.
As for Carters decision, well at least he made one and he made it quickly and that IMHO is what was needed before the rot was allowed to set in any further.
