My God what a load of over reaction. Look, if, if we had had a full strength side out, if Warrington hadn't played spot on, which let's give them the credit they deserve, they played brilliantly, then I thought we were in with a shout. We had 4 or 5 out and Kirmond should not have been on the bench. He clearly wasn't ready. But the slaggings I am seeing here are ridiculous. We have had an unexpectedly exciting season with some great moments. We were up against it today from before the kick off. We didn't use our brains at times but to blame Hall and Arundel...I am afraid that is just pretty stupid and very unfair.
Though it almost certainly would have made no difference to the result, I would point out that 5 key decisions went against us that would have probably kept the score more respectable. Lynne's breakaway; we did not touch it, they lost it. Their full back clearly knocked the bomb on when we were still in the game which would have given us line pressure. They got a scrum feed near their line when their player clearly knocked the ball out of BJB s hands. Westwood did not ground his try and Hall's was a try for me. I think we would have been looking at 30 odd 18 which personally I feel was a fairer reflection of the effort, all be it hampered by dumbness, that we put in. We should be pleased with this season and keep with the side and enjoy these last few games for goodness sakes. It is more than I ever thought we'd get!!
