I just find it incredible that the secretary of state will 'apparently' accept being duped.

He's a politician, they only react to mass public pressure, not enough people give a sht to warrant it to become a politically sensitive issue.

Blimey Khlav - you can be a bit down at times - don't give up on us just yet!

We have chosen not to take it to the SoS for political reasons - that doesn't mean we can't or won't - just that we think it benefits us more not to - at this point. We need to see what the future course of events will be - the signs are encouraging, but we've been there once before.

Anyone else tried spinning plates?

Wasn't meant as a dig, I know how hard you and the others are working on top of your day jobs, it's just had it been a hospital or school that was promised more people would be emulating NGB4C's ventings which would subsequently direct pressure onto the decision makers.

Yes it is, seems to get bigger by the day (bit off sympathy if ngbc has to look at that all day) even the anti stadium brigade must be miffed at it.

And what benefit to the community as far as jobs go as its fully automated.

Whoever got that through planning played a blinder.

Especially them I'd have thought.

Doubt NGBC lives anywhere near enough for otto cause an issue.

That said its truly awful.

Didn't take it as a dig! 8)

You may be right, and it has all been considered and is one of many angles we have open to us, but only if it takes us closer to what we want from the process. AFAWK the SoS has an overview on this process - and is not best pleased. If we continue to get nothing, then we will act, but we hope it wont come to that.

I took your post as being one more indicative of resignation to the idea that nothing will ever happen - there are plenty who would agree with that and I don't blame them, but, from the amount of meetings and pace of activity - which has steadily built over the past few months, we remain hopeful that we can come to an acceptable deal at the end of this process. If we do, it will have all been down to the efforts of those who contributed to the petition, the letters and all the other showings of support we have had over the years - even my friend NGB4C.

The likelihood is that the land that NC sits on would have got PP in any case - with or without us, as the land was prime for removal from the GB and turning into development land. There are other bits of the site which are more valuable which may not have got PP and these remain undeveloped for now, but if, IF, we get a stadium, be it at BV or NM, out of this it will all have been a worthwhile process.

Remember, no-one was offering us a penny towards a stadium once the council pulled Thornes off the table and that is only about 5/6 years ago! Its a short time in development terms - as our friends down the lane will learn with their current proposal - they still have fans who think they'll be building it next year!!! Patience is everything in this game - I've had to learn that!

That apart if all else fails TRB's final throw of the dice is to let NGB4C loose on the SoS :D
