They were £1.00 each - if you buy as new issue. The value after purchase will be what it is - that could be 1p - it could be £10.00.
The minimum purchase WAS £25.00.
No reply to my question - as yet!
I missed out on the original share offer because I never knew it existed. When I did know - through fans forums - it was too late. I'm not fussed how much they're worth in real terms, I'd just like to buy into the club that I've supported since I was a kid and feel that, by owning a modest share of it, I'm part of it. I don't know how many other "me's" there are out there, but any extra money coming in can't harm the club, and if it were still possible to buy in, I'd like to be part of that.

I hope it's still possible. Thanks for asking![/quote]

Just to clarify - I hope....
There was a genuine reason why the shares were not advertised as being for sale. IIRC, if you advertise shares for sale you must have a prospectus - and again, IIRC, the cost of this was quoted at £40k, which was felt more than the return they would have rec'd. Therefore whilst the shares were available for purchase, they were never strictly 'for sale'!
I beleive the the offer was closed, then re-opened, but whether it is still open - still waiting on the call-back!

That's fair enough. The comment wasn't intended as a criticism, it's just the way things were for me, and by the look of it, a few others as well. As you say, 40K for a prospectus totally negates anything the club would gain, so I fully understand the reasons for not going down that road.

Didn't take it as such - as you say, everyone has their own set of circumstances. Just trying to give people the full picture!
