And rightly so imo. Another classic case of spitting his dummy out. All SL coaches' experience this during the season some more than others. The difference being most take defeat graciously in public. This fellah like their fans seem to think they are different to the rest of us. It isnt as though they just lost, by the score it looks like they were soundly beaten. Having said they were going to win the play offs' and then lose at home to lowly Hudds I suppose though he had to target somebody for an excuse. And who better than the poor old ref
Absolute rubbish, it is'nt a case of him spiting his dummy out, in over a 42 years of watching rugby league i have witnessed some bad as well as good referees, they have a tough job and you expect them to make mistakes now and then, just like anyone else they are only human, but i have to say this guy Thaler is, in my opinion one of the worst on a consistent basis.
If a person makes a mistake in their job of work they would try to do better next time and make sure it did not happen again, if they continued to make mistakes, they would be given a warning and and eventualy dimissed or moved to a lesser position, why should referees be any differnt?.
Justin Morgan has continualy gone through the right channels in the past when making a complaint, as have many other coaches, but usualy they come up against a brick wall and usualy nothing happens to the official in question.
Somebody had to have the guts to openly question a referees performance at some time, otherwise it will be just like groundhog day, we will just keep on going over the same ground time and time again, making official complaints but, them falling on deaf ears at Red Hall.
Just for your information, Justin morgan has gone on record as saying how well most of the referees have improved this season and has aplauded them on many occasion. However like i have already hinted, imo one or two of the current SL referees are not up to Super league standard and its about time the RFL had the guts to listen to the coaches and the fans concerns regarding these particular referees and their under par performances, it can only benifit the game as a spectacle in the future and at the end of the day, thats all we all want, a good game of rugby league with a competent consistent style of refereeing. Is it to much to ask the RFL?
