Here folks is a sign of someone who never played the game and has no understanding of the deep respect that has been a part of it since it's inception.

Certain things that happen at other sports have been kept at arms length in RL because the crowd simply won't accept them. RL fans have a deep pride about the sports reputation for old fashioned principles and have self governed a way of behaving that other sports have long forgotton.

Cheering injured players is and always was one of those things that surrounding spectators would tell you off for, if you ever were stupid enough to do it!

Maybe I'm naive in my thinking but cheering an injured player and then defending the act as though everyone else is wrong is evidence that we now have supporters who never knew that unofficial code of conduct!

What a pity!

The only time I have done it is when Hudson injured his shoulder in the process of for the 6th time in the half he came in for a punishin flop on a prone wakey player.

Only cheered that because he was gettin his elbows and cheap digs in at every opportunity.

How would you know whether it's serious or not?

Like I said you've never really played the game so maybe you can try ignorance as an excuse.

However the balance was redressed a little when David Solomona was cheered off with a serious shoulder injury at Sts!

What a load of bollox. Saints fans have a real respect for Solomona. He's one of the few Bradford players who have consistently performed well. We cheered the hit; we cheered a few hits (it's really all we had to cheer about on Friday, with the exception of about 15 minutes before the halftime break). Don't you guys cheer big hits? I think they are great, but it's never nice to see anyone hurt and I've yet to hear any Saints fans cheer an injury to an opposition player at Knowsley Road (and I go to all the home games). So regardless of what it looked like on Sky - timing is all - please do get it into your heads that we did not cheer Solomona's injury.

We'll leave that kind of cheering to the Yarkshire lot, usually Leeds when Bailey attempts to decapitate our players.

I agree with that!!!

Every rugby league fan loves and cheers the big hits and tackles... but when you find out its a serious injury, then everyone claps them off the field!

The Saints fans especially all claped Westerman off the field against us last week when he was injured!
