He's impressed me so far because he is different in style to most wingers, and he seems strong enough. He has that quick-start that Robinson used to have, where he would be away quickly over the first ten yards, and that is the important part as it breaks the line and catches out slow defences. I'm not sure he's that quick over 100m, as I'm not sure he has genuine pace as per Peter Fox or Dave Halley, but he will be troublesome for the opposition. I prefer him to the plonk-it-down-from-two-yards-out Gardner, who will be redundant when Gidley packs it in.
Good luck to him. His main difficulty will be the extent to which other sides exploit the height issue, and maybe he will need Pat Richards to cover for him on the kicks, because that will be the obvious ploy from opposition kickers.
