Hope it's not true but if it is I really hope we aren't going to put Murphy at full back when his best position is centre. If people think an attacking full back is what we need then they have clearly not been watching us for the last 20 years or more.

Just so long as the opposition don't put the high ball up to Trevor. :)
..... and some people think that the current players can't catch, TM was up there with the best of them at not catching. :)

Believe there is too much criticism of Blaymire because his alleged poor kick return, primarily I want a full back to be able to tackle, be good under the high kick, have good positional play and by brave on the sweep - which he I believe he is accomplished at.

Very few clubs have the Australian style Full back/Stand-off - and they pay good money for one & their success is as much to do with the quality of the team around them - we were not exactly creating too much pf a broken line to return to last year. Probably has alot to do with how we (in the UK) train our youngsters.

If I remember the last two attempts we had at that were Rooney and Demteriou in the position who were little short of a disaster and quicly replaced with a "traditional" full back.

If I remember the fans favourite of the last decade at full back were Hallpenny and Martin Holland - both of whom appeared to be playing in slow motion.

Well said, we need to concentrate more on the 'attacking' play of the rest of the team and let Blaymire continue to do his job well. Theres plenty of other positions which need addressing prior to the steady full bace have at the moment

Very true and very well thought out, shame it will be wasted on here.

What a shame if true, better than most full backs of recent years. Reilly, Halpenny, MARK FIELD, were all garbage (although Colum was steady) Blaymire is as good as it gets. I don't understand as a small club people are expecting big signings from Wakey. Until we are getting crowds of 8-10k then we won't be able to put together a great squad. The club is working on a shoestring budget and everyone on this message board constantly moans.

IMO losing Blaymire would be bad news for us, put Matty in a decent side e.g Wire he wouldn't look out of place at all. We have had some of our best years. Since 2007-09 were good seasons for us and we have one bad season and people reckon we should be up there with the bigger clubs. It's just not going to happen until we have a new stadium and a decent base for growth.

Cant understand the stick this lad gets safe under the high ball tackles well and gets a good few tries
lacks a yard of pace but only Les Sheard and Harrold Box maybe Garry Spencer have being better since I have supported Trinity

If true Brian Noble must rate him and I would say he is a better judge than 99% of the posters on this site

You guys have signed Josh Vievers from Wigan I thought? I assume he would be wanting some first team opportunities next year.
