We remain confident that we have an overwhelming argument, but that does not mean we should take our eye off the ball for one second.

When we're over the finishing line - i.e. sat in our stadium - then the job is done, until then, be prepared for a fight at any time!

ah, did not see that. Thanks :thumb:

Excuse my ignorance, but what is LDF?
Looked it up on Wiki .
Many definitions such as Lesotho Defence Force and Lyme Disease Foundation plus possible ones such ac Local Development Framework.

Once a Sandal Wild Cat always a Sandal Wild Cat.

Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

Bring back the British Coal shirts for 2012

Come home Steve Georgallis & Nigel Wright

The last one.

Exactly what it says in the name. A framework for local development.
Which looks favorably on NM as a method of meeting central government requirements for economic expansion & development in specific areas of industry- in this case warehousing & distribution. In specific areas of our region (M62).
It also covers a vast amount of other issues- from traveler sites to areas for new affordable housing.

Because it's so big (a 10 year plan) it takes time to implement, some areas are already in place, but as the TRB said "we should always be ready for a fight".

In terms of the bit we care most about (NM) this is an important piece in the construction for the reasoning, but what we should take greater comfort in is the fact the argument that is being used by WMDC and Yorkcourt is far more comprehensive than the LDF alone, as is comprised of demonstrating the need, suitability and sustainability of all the NM has to offer.

Lets not forget how poor some of our opposition were in the town hall last year, since then our case has been progressively made more "water tight" whilst our opposition have lost key cornerstones of their argument by Yorkcourt working with statutory agencies (highways, yorkshire ecology, natural england) to refine/amend the design of the site to meet the needs/resolve issues raised by statutory agencies.

We're in a good place, but nowhere near home and dry.

Come on lads we're nowhere near safe enough to be making jokes, 10 weeks and we'll have been through the PI formalities, seen the case put forward & against- then we'll have a better idea of "how the chips are falling" so to speak.
Even then IMO I think we need to hold back on the comedy until we know a FINAL decision, keep stum, keep up our vigilance and hold our nerve! Things will come good for us in the next 12 months!

To overlook the unicorns accommodation issue, is a mistake IMO. :D
