It’s not really Bains fault the ref was far away though especially if Bain was convinced he’d scored. I suppose depends what the ref and he said but if it was a try then it should never have got to that point anyway.
The radio said Bain slammed it down which made the ball shoot up but were convinced he’d scored so referred to it as a bizarre passage of play and a talking point.
I guess we will see more tonight with a closer angle I’d think.
One thing it highlights is the need for in goal touch judges. I’m very surprised that we don’t have them in the championship.
