Step one would be expensive, as I'm assuming it would be action against the council for not fulfilling their duties in enforcing the unilateral undertaking.
Let's say we win that battle.
Don't Yorkcourt then turn round and say, sorry guys, no money?
At best, it's a threat to force Yorkcourt to stump up cash they haven't got. What it won't do is buy Belle Vue, especially if the Super Bowl site has gone.
I can bet the planning application for whatever goes there will whizz through the town hall like Nigel Wood at a buffet.

Have to say other than wanting 'revenge' for want of a better word i don't see how legal action, which will likely drag out an awfully long time, will help matters for us at all. We will just be stuck in limbo even longer awaiting a result that won't make much difference to the club gaining a new home either way. Neither Yorkcourt or the council have either the funds or desire to build Newmarket, that much is obvious and as the post above by sixtogo says there are no guarantees of a win anyway. We've been led up the garden path by all those with influence, kept in the dark about what's been happening and now it turns out we are many miles up one if those creeks in an old leaking boat and we've long since lost the paddle. It's all very depressing.
