Its not quite a restaurant, more a multi-use function suite so hopefully used seven days & evenings. The present rooms are not top notch but they could do with some activity as well as match day, can't think when they last had some entertainment on

Correct.

I’d have answered him myself but he rarely listens.

It’s a function room with on site catering. I doubt it’s intended to be used as a full on restaurant. I can’t think of any clubs who do run full time restaurants from there ground, can’t see it being economically viable, not many 200 seater restaurants do and none would be happy being pushed out 14 times a year on peak nights.

What might work is a tie up with a catering college. Shame Wakefield college moved to a new site only a few years back. Gaskell ironically I think it’s called. That would still allow us to rent it out at nights and weekends.

Still not the only one around so maybe another similar user. One for the future.

It’s getting nearer to the day, and hopefully better times ahead, with its revenue potential.

Hopefully, all the ducks lined up and in place, especially from Mackie’s side, regarding their part of the financing

If our stadium is as good as the underground car park at Tottenham I'll be impressed.
This is an unbelievable stadium.

We are getting or have:

- brand new east stand - inclusive of function room and changing facilities.
- revamped northstand (a facelift)
- new floodlights
- new 4g pitch that can be used all year round
- new big screen
- extra or improved gym facilities and a cafe
- a newly resurfaced car park outside the east stand

That’s some considerable change. It’s the first step I hope in a few improvements. I’d guess the west stand next.

The big earner could be the conference suite. Especially if the can rent out to businesses and organisations in the Wakefield and wider area for events and training/conferences. You could be generating thousands in any given week if used correctly.
