Back on topic...
There's sure to be some smart-bottomed answer to this, but.... assuming the turnip/cow/day eating ratio remained the same and applied to the total comsumption of the cow and a half, as opposed to a cow and half a cow, then the only thing that matters is turnips/day... in this case 1:1.... so I'll go for 14.
Now tell me why I'm wrong...
Incidentally, that reminds me of a question that we had to answer nearly 40 years ago in our 7+ exam:
If a cow has three eyes write yes, if it has two, write no.
(I wrote yes, but I'm not sure if the brown eye counted... in any case, I still passed... )
