I haven't really seen that much of him over the last couple of seasons, but from what I have seen, the number of penalties he gave away was probably in part down to over-motivation and the responsibility of guiding a young and inexperienced team round the park. There are worse things to be guilty of, I suppose.
We've had 2 good seasons out of him - better than a lot of Bradford fans thought we'd get when he left, due to the amount of time he spent out injured. Perhaps the club think they'd be chancing their arm going for a third? Perhaps Agar has his own plans and his own man for the captain's position? Perhaps it is just a case of looking for better value for money over the long term?
That said, if the deal were right for both parties, I'd stick with him too.
