Like I said before , most of us don't really know what properly happened with the trust from both sides of the argument. Or maybe as I mentioned earlier, it could be a case of redemption for him, ateotd he's 77. He may have screwed up in the past and knowing how he wants his and his families name perceived, i imagine he will want to put this right. All those huge projects and developments he was a big part in bringing to fruition, but not the relatively small one for his home City and the RL team he supports and has been involved in for decades one way or the other. Funny thing is, he might have naff all to do with it as well:)

Can’t change the past but can change the future. Might be what our chairman was hinting at in his interview on Trinity TV. What’s happened in the past is history it’s all about moving on together and getting a stadium Wakefield’s proud of.

I agree snowie, it is a shame when people fall out over politics, everyone is different.

Sometimes it makes you feel you're not entitled to your opinions, and especially on social media, just in case you upset someone.

Moving back onto the topic, yes you can't change the past, but you can certainly change the future.

Also with JM there now, and the big organisation background he has, and networks, it may be harder for any sly moves from Rodders, which could be detrimental to the club

I was at the town hall ten years ago when RMW stood in the witness box and told the representative of the SoS in his smug way that he had been heavily involved in the development of sports stadia all over the country, including the provision of the new National Stadium at Wembley, and that they had all come to fruition.
It would appear that delivering a small community stadium in a smallish Northern city was just a little beyond his area of expertise.
I can see this current venture of his amounting to nothing

Saw Sir Rodders this morning driving down Denby Dale Road, in what I believe is his new motor.....a Rolls Royce Ghost (I think it was,) very much like this one...

https://www.postoakmotors.com/vehicle-d ... d-27425827.

I used to see him being chauffeured around in his old motor quite regularly, but it looks as though the chauffeur might have got traded in with the old car ??

It was a nice feeling to overtake him in my 5 year old, not-so-white-anymore, works van with 100,000 miles on the clock !! :D :D

He may also have splashed out on a 4-wheel drive Range Rover type gas guzzler as I've seen one such vehicle around Wakefield recently with the reg. no. RMW 1. The sort of self-important thing he would do albeit the motor was not being driven by him.

He did deliver Wembley and Leicester though didn’t he.

As for BV he may not deliver but then he’s not alone is he. None of the other previous owners have, nor have our Council, whilst all and I mean all of our MP’s have been pathetic. I’m not keen on RW and I’d never call him Sir but frankly he’s in good company and no worse than the rest of Wakefield’s great and good.

Funny isn’t it that the two people who’ve had the most positive effect on the club in my time have been MC and Kear, neither of whom hail from the Merrie city!

Tells me all I need to know about most of Wakefield’s movers and shakers both political and business. All self interested posers with no guts or ideas, RW doesn’t look so bad or so smug compared to some and I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. Aren’t we the good folk of Wakefield blessed.
