Tried purchasing on-line this morning but it said my email address wasn't linked to my season ticket so we went in to the shop instead, expecting long queues, but there were only about 10 people queueing for East Stand tickets and no queue for the North Stand tickets, so we were in and out in 5 minutes :D :D

Maybe you should have took the hint.....

SL Grand Final : Mon Oct 14, 2024 10:06 pm
Watched some Games highlights, we will have to play top drawer stuff to win this - they can all draw a man & pass, they have big mobile forwards & an express runner in ashall botts who we never deal with.
Missing tackles as per york match which 2 tries were scored will not work thinking we can over come them.
By the way, the two missed tackles were not Lino, they were Josh Bowden, in non committle poor action - most unlike him, he has been very good for us.
Hope our lads want it bad enough & out enthuse them up the Trin

You’re making Toulouse out to be world beaters. I do not understand the mentality of blowing up the opposition and putting down your own team. They have to overcome us. Toulouse aren’t the insurmountable force you make out.

Bulls had 2 x players binned didn’t they to allow Toulouse back in to scrape home.

You appear to be doubting the players motivation? Why?

Not sure who you’re replying to regards Lino as you just created the opening post.

I do hope we can live with their mobile forwards and team of players who can draw defences and pass. We have a terribly leaky defence afterall.

You could have posted this on the final topic that’s running too.

But for my take. I’m confident that the team can win the final. They will certainly give their all to do so.

Bulls also had 3 trys disallowed. Not sure if the review panel has met for our games yet. You'd have thought so as not many games to review but a few were saying even if Bulls won could be a couple of bans for Gill and Myers and possible 1 or 2 Toulouse players for head shots. Sounded like Toulouse like us were dropping ball for fun especially first half

Putting things in perspective for all the doubters - we created enough chances in the first half to blow York away! The only time they got in our half was due to our errors.
York knew exactly who to target and max got clobbered a couple of times- they have some good players and were well drilled.
All that said on another day those efforts of ours would have come off and the scoreline would have been much wider.
A bad day at the office but we got it out of the way and won.
Toulouse will be very aware that we play much better than that- I'd rather be a Trinity supporter than a Toulouse supporter facing the final!

Having home advantage is also going to be massive too.
When we were under the cosh on Sunday, the Northstanders got loud and I genuinely think we helped the guys through that difficult period and turn the game around. Hopefully we can be the extra man again on Saturday regardless of whether it is needed or not. :thumb:

It seems that the hardest obstacle to overcome is the semi final. One mistake can change a great season in to a good season.
Now they have overcome that, I am sure we will see a different approach to their game. The chance to showcase their skills rather than not making mistakes is a massive difference. Just remember though that Toulouse will be thinking the same.
They beat us in 36 degrees heat in July. This time it will be 25 degrees colder. I believe that the weather was one of the reasons we lost that night , the supporters where knackered just watching. If we play to our potential i think it could be a 11 to 16 bet on the coupon.

Should be a routine win for you lot provided you bring your A game. Toulouse weren't anything special and we were let down by poor discipline and not taking our chances which has been our downfall in many games this season.

Hopefully so because we only brought our B game last Sunday and needlessly made hard work of it.
