I think B too... If box was confident he had nowt to worry about, he wouldn't even be talking to the trust..

I'd guess it's the old "as long as a piece of string" gag, but I wonder what sort of ball park figure it would take to get them in the dock and put them under pressure, so to speak.

The fact that they are round the table though, suggests that they have something to answer for!
And are looking for a way round it by offering the trust a minimal fee to forget it ever happened.
It might be that the threat of a trip to the court house has brought them to the table.
if I was the SoS sat in my office and someone plonked a file on my desk suggesting that alls not rosy in the garden and there are some jokers making me look stupid, I think I'd have something to say about it!

Don't think Pickles is Sec of State any more .
Would new guy/gal be as peeved?
But then there must be some sort of system of accountability as if not why have system of referral to Sec is State in first place?

Probably not mate... But I doubt the rules change just because one man leaves his position... Plus, it's a Tory run show at the moment, so you would think they would be happy to put the boot in if they could!

I think another book by Slugger is about due.The intrepid reporter Jack Garrett investigates the murky dealings of a fictional local council led by an arrogant Svengali called Paul Crate ! Another best seller with all proceeds going to the Supporters Trust.
