Hey, if you want to feel gloomy, go have a look on the Bradford forum. Things are not rosy here, but they are rosier than for a long time. We have uncertainty, that's all, and the internet has bred a need for instant information. We're not going to get it and I'm fine with that.
Well said slugger... And yes I've been on their forum, they have more to worry about than us ! I'm chuffed to bits with our season for me now owt else is a bonus
Does anyone know if MC has asked the RL for help in maintaining the most historic of grounds. If so it is another secret we haven't been trusted with . MC TRB etc treats supporter as if they are children who are not to be trusted. We are expected to just turn up every week wherever he decides to take the club and meekly buy our season tickets shirts pies lottery tickets beer etc and not ask questions. Well someone should tell him this is the entertainment business and the customers needs to be listened to and this customer and many long time supporters like myself will NOT be going to Dewsbury .
I refute that suggestion. These are delicate matters and everything we say is monitored by others and they can be quite sensitive about some of the ongoing matters involved. You need to give some thought to what you are saying here. If we'd told you everything we 'thought' was going to happen you'd have strung us up by now for them not doing, hence we will tell you when we 'know' something will.
Had a couple of interesting chats on my annual trip back up north at the weekend for the derby match which, if true, means Belle Vue might not be dead yet, we just might need a while away. I spoke to two separate and unconnected people (though both move in circles that could hear about these kind of things) and it seemed quite open knowledge that the plan is now to give up Newmarket to the developer in return for them purchasing of the ground from the bank and the funding of new stands and hospitality put up in the place of the current ones, whilst the council are also prepared to purchase a piece of grassed land nearby and donate it to the club for use as a matchday car park. I don't know what area of land as i was told that wasn't decided yet. I can only think of the sports & social club nearby unless they are considering somewhere further out and a park and ride system? Could be way out on that though. Now whether it is old news and the superbowl and gym being bought by a property developer has made a mess of this i'm not sure but it didn't seem a big secret at the weekend. Anyway one to add to the rumours list.
Well come on then Ball in Hand if the RFL will not allow us to continue at Belle Vue , what do you suggest? We have to go somewhere and what is so horrendous about Dewsbury ? I too am a long timer , over 60 years, but will certainly not be deserting them at this crucial time.

As I understand it this is the case, only time will tell.
With the Superbowl and Gym on the eastern side, there is such a massive area here that could be developed, but for me the only real sticking point here, is the kitchen and bathroom shop, and that what is either a house or old flats next to it, which could hamper development. If this could be re developed, then couldn't the pitch be moved a bit further east than what it is, so back west and east could be re vamped.
I walk past the stadium most days, coming home from work, and would guess from touchline on the east stand to footpath, there is possibly 30-40 metres space.
I also think we would benefit capacity wise, by making it a 4 sided stadium, with having the hospitality running the length of the stadium.

The Super Bowl and gym have been sold to a property developer so that is a no no.
