If someone had suggested signing Penny just over a year ago, when he helped us beat Warrington at their place, I'd have been horrified. After the displays of the latter part of last season though, I'm more than willing to give him a go on the basis of that recommendation. Effort was distinctly lacking from our team last year. Combined with pace it puts him up there as a star of our backline.
