I suppose what it boils down to is that you're a fan of the club and you'd follow them. I have black and amber in my blood.
I know there are plenty that wouldn't be happy about it or wouldn't go - that's their prerogative, but I'm sure if it was a nice shiny stadium, with a winning team a lot would go. Put it this way, 15,000 signed the petition. Why don't the majority of those turn out to support their side?
Because people will sign anything just to get away from the person shoving it under there noses, especially if they are not bothered either way. Unless it is an issue that people have a a strong viewpoint on people will just sign to get away from being bothered. Then factor in all the people who took petitions to friends and relatives, and the fact no of us know what was actually said to the people signing Im sure there will of been all sorts of rhetoric. All this is why the petition holds very little water, plus people were not given a balanced view of the negatives of any scheme.

Rugbyball, do you have any other hobbies apart from coming on here, you know, intrests? things your passionate about? Im sort of assuming this has become your lifes work as friends and heaven forbid sexual partners would seem unlikely.

They will once the stadium is constructed.Despite,as has been pointed out,the apathy they have for a country that does not support sport and a country with its self-serving politicians. For example,Ken Livingstone has never been to a sporting event in his life but was shown being jubilant when London was awarded the Olympic Games. The NIMBY's are ignored,it seems,in this case.It has taken SWAG years to get this far.The politicians quite gladly accept the freebie tickets to attend sporting events,of course.Look how far behind the rest of Europe the national game of soccer was when it came to stadia 20 or so years ago. Why should working people have to devote so much of their own time and effort to bring about something which should be provided ?

They did not sign up to be fans they signed up to support better sporting facillites at Newmarket.
my girlfriend says i'm immature, and it's time we set aside one day a week so we can talk things through as adults. like THAT'S gonna happen in the middle of conker season!!
 You have been shafted by political interest. Theres only one club in danger of being shafted by political interest and it isnt Castleford and lets leave it at that. Pull your trousers up before your mam and dad get home from the pub and go and support that team your pretending to have an interest in
Big al warned about the kids talking poop last night, you were obviously tucked up in bed

Drove through Newmarket from Stanley to get to the CAS ground it took a nice 5 minutes to get to CAS, On the way back it took 5mins to get to stanley. Ideal for both sets of fans NEWMARKET. Cas you should be grateful where ever the ground will be as a small district and Newmaket is a ideal 5minute drive away for you and Wakey fans travelling from lupset and town that is also 5 minutes away. Cas you are been very sellfish on the matter sort it out and stop been a ungrateful little district. !
do you mean an ungrateful superior little district ??????

Fast becoming a pointless thread, because there isn't a hope in hell of anyone from Cas saying, "do you know what, now I think about it, Newmarket is a great idea," and the same for Wakey fans when talking about Glasshoughton. All we get is two sides bickering, and occasionally Gaslight will appear with his notion that we should go to Glasshoughton because it's next to a ski slope.
Sick of the whole thing.
we're all sick of it mate but when you try reasonable debate you get chissit and the new ground troll spoiling it, if this is the level of your support, I dont want them in our ground either
