We put this festival on you b*st*rds
With a lotta love
We worked for one year for you pigs
And you wanna break our walls down
And you wanna destroy us
Well you go to hell

Just checked them out, and for what its worth they look pretty healthy on paper, or at least they did on the 24/07/2008 when they made their last return. I have vague knowledge of accounts but not comprehensive, anybody out there an accountant who could interprate the data I have?

Shouldn't have much problem obtaining credit at the moment, so thats a big plus given current trading conditions.

Realistically the only time it will sell out is for Play-off (if we're luckily enough to make it and be at home) games or possibly against Leeds or Cas. So that's 3 games a year!

In time i think we should be looking at expanding it to 14,000 - 15,000, but that could be a long way down the line.

Correct.

No one would want to throw money at BV to increase it's capacity. But a modern stadium is a whole different thing. If it starts to be pushed at 12k then increasing the size to 16k would be immediately economically viable. Where as 4,000 empty seats a game to start with would be a poor investment.

Come on how many 12,000 gates have either of us had? Don't let's get a head of ourselves. It's taken you lot 15 years to even get close to filling your stadium. I'd much rather a small full ground than a big half empty one any day, especially one that has expansion built into it.

As for details, they will be fed to the media over the next month I believe.

I would also imagine that going for 12k rather than 15k capacity would encourage more season ticket sales. What exact impact a new stadia will have on attendances we dont know, but we do know its always an increase.
12k capacity would encourage people as they wouldnt want to risk missing the bigger games.

York court own the whole of the site at the bottom of Newton Hill including Burger King & Bannatynes etc. Not short of expertise in development.

Mind you it's a long walk to Stanley when I live in Ossett - but I'll get the missus to move!!!

Its not just the season ticket sales and the home fans that we have to think about.

Many Many supporters stay away from Belle Vue because there's no cover, Little parking and it's very poor in general. I would imagine that when the facilities are more inviting there will be an upsurge in visiting fans as well.

So looking at the following map,

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=53.724 ... h&hl=en-GB

Would I be right in saying it is planned to be on the land sandwiched between Newmarket Lane and Bottom Boat Road?
