I understand the league 1 will be:

East Leeds

Cas Panthers
Lock Lane
Shaw Cross
Dewsbury Celtic
Hunslet Warriors
Newsome
East Hull

Roll on kick off!!

That's one tough group!!!

The only club I can see objecting would be shaw cross the last time I spoke with their coach a few week back they only had 11 players has they have lost a few to football.

Cas academy yr9 were beaten over in hull yesterday by reigning champs serius which is more or less the west hull team in the semi of the yorks cup 26-20 Again the hull official was completley biased towards the hull school what amazes me more is the game was supposed to be a neutral venue and ref!!!lol

Any thoughts from those still in BARLA cup about the 3rd round clashing with first league match? Only suggestion would be using only postponement, though not keen to do that, and the bigger issue would come if we get past 3rd round with no postponements left.

I think a bit of common sense needs to come into it, there will be plenty of chance to catch up the league games later in the year!!

Cas panthers travelled to east hull for the now annual memorial game and again it was a good work out for both teams. The game finished 28-16 to easts but its fair to say there is very little between the tŵo sides.

Again great hospitality from easts who will be a great addition to the Yorkshire juniors!! :thumb:

There are still some team that have to play round 2 as last weekends games were postponed and there is a likelihood that some of them will be missed tomorrow as the pitches I've seen today have been absolutely waterlogged.

Not sure on "Common Sense" as rarely when one expects common sense to prevail that it ever does
And as we're talking about YJARL that seems to apply more often than not

Was a great workout for both sets. You're always welcome down Easts way Rob.
Considering the howling wind blowing the lads did well to play expansive and with little errors to boot!
Best wishes for the season!

Re: junior rugby 2014 : Sun Feb 16, 2014 1:01 am
So this is the advice given;

"There is no dispensation for the BARLA cup I'm afraid, so you will need to use your postponement for the first fixture.

If you get through to the next round and decide to play in the BARLA cup instead of your league match, then you will need to forfeit your league fixture 18-0."

What a complete joke devoid of any common sense!
