Owen depends on the deal to me. On cheaper wages I'd take him but not on the reported Cas wages

Maybe that's why the announcement of his signing has been delayed?
Think he could be a decent signing for the right money but when you been on the rumoured contract at Cas, sometimes it's hard to come down to what other people now value you at.

Although the signing to be announced tomorrow is most likely to be Owen I think it would be a bad move . I would prefer Keinhorst with Reece Lynne reverting to the wing . Sammutt is a real problem , I think his best position is halfback but not along side Tim Smith . I thought Godinett combined well with Smith in the games they played together and Godinett has made it clear 6 is his favoured postion.Fullback gives scope for Sammutt to attack but he looked awfully weak defensively. Justin Carney swotted him off like the rest of us get rid of a fly. Despite Webster saying Sammutt is in his plans a player exchange for a decent interchange hooker would improve the balance of the team but I don't know who might be available

Wilde had his chances and although his work ethic was excellent he didnt have the zip to make quick yards from dummy half and didnt have much of a kicking game . He simply wasnt in the same league as McShane if we are to make the 8 next season we need to find another McShane.

Would imagine the squad news tomorrow is one of three things:

(1) Another Academy player promoted into senior squad
(2) Someone signing a contract extension
(3) Someone leaving- could be sammutt?

Who could pssibly object to a straight swop Sammutt for the return of Aiton . That would be Christmas come early for me.

Where is the source of these supposed Cas wages, and if there that much how come we have been paying them most of the season when we are supposedly skint.

My guess is tomorrow's squad news is an academy player promoted, on Monday will be Owens signature.
