Big difference between disagreeing with someone and outrightly calling them a racist.

Think this is all getting a bit fired unnecessarily.
Drugs laws exist. People who sell them or possess them (There are exceptions!) are breaking the law.
If Walker is guilty, he should be sacked because he's broken the law and let the club and supporters down.
Unlawfully possessing Cocaine, a class A drug, is a serious offence.

I think our dalliance with troubled souls continues to result in bad publicity for the club especially in the recent history. I think we have made more club statements in the last three seasons than we did in the previous 10.
What would have happened If we had looked to sign chase like some of you suggested because you believe we can usually control their bad behaviour. It is obvious we cannot and it is time we take into consideration a player's history rather than ability or these bad news stories will continue.

or maybe the club at that time chose to ignore the problems and not go public, I remember a time when nothing was said and we as fans didn't know what to think

Ok guys let's leave it there.
I was hoping we'd move past this quickly but if not we'll have to stop that conversation and get back to Walker

How so - it was interesting debate about drug policy; what's the problem?

Probably the fact that once again you try to make every thread turn political, and branding anyone who disagrees with you as a racist or thick.
Its embaressing.

Back on topic, 2 year ban seems fair to me. Recreational drug and in no way performance enhancing.
On a side note, anyone who allows there kids to view rugby players as role models, need there heads checking!

Good point. I'm fairly sure Powell would have known about Rangi's demons when he signed him for his 2nd Cas stint but he must have been convinced that Rangi wanted to change his ways. He seemed to have done that and was given the 6 shirt ahead of Ben Roberts. However after a couple of off field issues he was shown the door.
I wouldn't have a clue what to look for myself but are there signs that team mates would notice if a fellow player were on cocaine? If reports that cocaine taking is rife surely it would be evident in dressing rooms across all leagues.
