Fed up of these rollercoaster rides!!

Very Proud! : Sun Mar 15, 2009 7:42 pm
I am so proud of our SQUAD this year, we have injury after injury and still the lads that come in get stuck in and do a very good job. From last week when we put a good fight against HKR despite losing our mainplaymaker in the first minuite, Brad Drew and Dave Halley drops out, in comes Danny Brough, Tevita Leo Latu and back from the sick Ryan Atkins. Did we lose anything in cohesion or effort? not on your life. They all just came together and got stuck in, when you look at other clubs 'superstars' it makes you proud to support our club, no prima donna's just GRAFTERS

have to say in all the years Ive been watching this is the most proud i have felt, for a load of reasons, mainly though that you can see the players have taken the events of the last year and bonded in to a cohesive unit, best example today was danny broughs recovery tackle with 8 mins to go, it was an awesome piece of work from a supposedly not match fit player, he also very nearly stopped their second try in the same way.

in short we have anti-the warrington syndrome, players playing for each other working hard and getting the rewards, and the part time fans are coming back because of this, i got no such feeling when we had mcnamara and goulding and all that rubbish.

we have bounced back, we are getting our club and RL in general good publicity, and things look good for the future.

We have all wanted to see progression and professionalism and at present we have that in tons.
long may it continue!

Didn't see the game, but can't argue with the sentiment.

"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.

Agreed

The team spirit and togetherness is great to see.

The most pleasing improvement apart from the above is our defence. Vastly improved, looks far more organised and we seem to be tackling far better. Still improvement required in our defence and discipline (still giving silly pens away) but the improvement is there for all to see.

Onwards and upwards.

Come On The Trin !
