Tag Rugby In Wakefield - Saturday 8th August : Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:04 pm
Wakefield Community Rugby League club are hosting a Tag Rugby Festival, along side the RFL, at Crriglestone All Black’s ground on Saturday 8th August. Teams and individuals are more than welcome to come along and take part. It will be played in a 7s format, with squads from 7 to 12 players). The minimum age is technically 14 years old, but exceptions will be made if younger children want to join in.
Tag Rugby is a minimal contact version of Rugby League, and represents a step up from Touch Rugby, by introducing other skills required in rugby, such as kicking and dummy half running. The first set of games are kicking off at 11o’clock, with the finals to be finished in time for the Cup Semi final game between Wigan and Warrington which will be shown in the bar afterwards.
