Did a good job yesterday, got a few "bits" wrong but overall controlled the game well.

I thought he was soft with the professional fouls but he is one of our better refs

He did well. He can't have refereed to many attack v (non-existant) defense training sessions.

Missed a few forward passes just before the first try, but the rest of the match pretty much rendered that fact redundant.

I think Thaler is the best ref in Super League, but he missed a lot of forward passes last night. Seems to be something creeping into the game more and more each season.

He pinged us for 3 offsides yet you were offside more than us!

Not a whinge, just an observation. I think that Thaler & Smith are consistently better than the rest. Ganson on his day can be very good, but when he's bad, boy, is he bad!

If he'd have pulled them up you'd have had even less of the ball

Always rated Thaler up there and seen nothing to change my mind. Only slight thing we could have grumbled about was the holding down just before half time and no yellow card, but some you get some you dont!

I like the way he lets the game flow, it makes for a much better spectacle rather than the pedantic refs who seem to be blowing up every minute.

It actually went against us in the 1st half because Huddersfield's completion was so good and they were so good with ball in hand that it killed us, we were too disciplined for our own good! I know it's not pretty to watch but at times we should be smarter and try and slow the play down a touch when we're on the back foot as much as we were the other night.
