Which fund/charity? : Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:55 pm
Thanks to Acko last night for the signed Giants shirt and the other Wakey fan for the free tickets(dunno if he wants to be named giving free tickets to a Giants fan  )
I'll try to raise some money by either a raffle or auction for the shirt but i'd like you all to decide where the money should go. I would imagine the Leon Walker and Adam Watena fund go into the same pot or am i wrong? Or is there anywhere else you'd rather the money went?

Hi ponner shame we didn't meet up again last night, but then you would of seen my grumpy side

I personally would like to see it go to Leon Walker Memorial Fund,
we have managed to raise £555 with the predictions league through the fans and Unison, anything more would be a bonus,

if you choose to go with this I can help you get the money to Donna and Steve

:KATA: and that's for Saturday night

ADAM WATENE & LEON WALKER R.I.P.

Re: Which fund/charity? : Sun Mar 07, 2010 10:19 pm
Id like to see it go to T-R-Y (Squad_builder) as it is now imo time to concentrate on our club, after all the hard work, dedication and time given to Watene fund and Walker fund.

We like to see the talented english players but they don't come cheap and there hard to retain with our income so i nominate T-R-Y

this too is a worthwhile cause but its a shame that not many people share the sentiment when it comes to fundraising events

Mark.

The Watene fund is all wrapped up, the Leon Walker fund is a one off (predictions league) with talk of a Hudds walk to come or maybe a charity game.

If you can raise some cash mate go for it but i'll let others decide were it should go.

Cheers mate.

Whilst being on the committee of Squadbuilder I would love to see the monies come to us , but suggest the RFL benevolent Fund as they helped both Adam and Leons Family and I am sure supported Wakefield staff and players during our recent tragedies.
