Liked him as a ballsy linesman and like him as a ref. He lets a lot go to the benefit of the game but doesn't let teams take the mickey.

he allowed both teams tonight to encroach past him to be offside on many occasions and I can live with that as long as he blows in front of the sticks for an easy two points, hes been fair from the start and is becoming a darling to us which worries me

EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: referee performance : Fri Apr 02, 2010 10:44 pm
Maybe some post-win-tinted views on here, because if we had lost, the complaint would be that he never got Cas back and so he allowed them to stifle us.

There was about 20 refs stood near where I was who would have put the lad to shame. They didn't miss a thing all night, they saw things from 70 yards away that the poor ref couldn't even see from 5 yards away.

They're wasted on the terraces with their ability to see things so clearly.

It could have been better by keeping both teams 10 apart. Then we would have seen more 'end to end stuff' which at the It end of the game would have benefited us more than cas.

how many times have stood and listen to the crowd bray for a offside, knock on, holding down,

the need to get possession back at all cost is now pressurising the ref to the limit, makes you wonder why most of the linesmen seems to be at the older end as they are more likely to be cantankerous and deaf

I thought he had a decent game; he could have punished Cas further for their persistent high tackles, but he seems to err on the side of giving benefit of the doubt, which probably keeps the game flowing.

I still feel a warm fuzzy glow towards him for the way he put Leeds in their place; binning Sinfield was an act of greatness.

but you know we are not allowed to question sinfield now, the ref was a disgrace for even thinking about it never mind doing it.
