An interesting season so far, and so what are peoples' thoughts?
We've lost two stars so far, through drugs and money, and about to lose another to the sunshine. I would be entitled to be gloomy. But we've got a very good player in Cooke, and seen two good young ones come to the fore in Morton and Gledhill, along with Murphy coming out of his shell and being a revelation. The win ratio is 66%, and even if it slips to 50-50, we would finish on 30 points, which is very impressive. We're still in the cup , and we've got rid of Leeds at home, Saints away, Wire away, and the annual drubbing by Huddersfield.
All in all, despite two very poor performances, and you always get two or three a year, I'm quite happy. The main downside for me is the attendance, which is down, and so has an impact on finances, which maybe stops player money going on players.
Before the season started, I would have gone for four wins out of the first nine.
Wakey supporters really need a reality check sometimes. I’ve no idea how much the club spends in relation to the Salary Cap, but, we must be in the bottom four. That is a great testament to the players we have, and the coaching they receive.
Does anyone know how many teams are spending the full cap?
Only when the club are on a level playing field can we truly assess how good we are.
I sat down and look at the league this morning and bar for a big turn around it looks like 8 from the top 9 that are there now, happy to be where we are but the next 9 games will the test, as for the cup each game as it comes

Comparing the attendences with the corresponding games of last year shows an increase! ........2009........2010 Sal – 6,578........4,883 – 1,695 Cat – 4,807.......5,818 + 1,011 Hud – 5,037.......5,237 + 200 Lee - 6,425.......9,783 + 3,358 Cas – 8,371.......8,337 - 34
2009 Total 31,218 avg = 6,244 2010 Total 34,058 avg = 6,812 + Avg of +568 per game

I stand corrected!
I don't read too much into the Catalan game, as it was the first game and had Danyl Johnson, but up is up.
6 wins is good, the performances haven't always been. We're winning, but winning ugly - good for the diehards, but, coupled with the prices, won't attract the floating support. A good cup run (to Wembley, please) would help a lot!
