Timmy and Godinet had half decent game's other than that the rest was ordinary at best, Sykes kicking apart was no worse than anybody else unfortunately for him he made that howler of a pass which set the tone for the rest of the error strewn game, you come to expect criticism on days' like this but to single out Sykes is wrong for me, one good thing though the usual suspects' can't blame Sammut for today's debacle.

Sykes didn't have a great game in general play. The long pass across the line on the first tackle has still got me scratching my head!

Three immaculate touchline conversions though. Shame they were wasted in today's game.

I honesty think Sykes was no worse than some others on the pitch. Everybody is expected to have a howler now and then and I feel sorry for Sykes that he chose his last game to have it.
For the record I would have kept him another season if possible but it's apparently not to be.

Disagree. He stuck out like a sore thumb.

Good player. Had maybe one year left in Super League or two years playing at your level.

Probably not the done thing to resurrect a thread from five years ago but given this thread was about how well Sykes was playing at a relatively advanced age in 2014, thought it was worth noting that today he made his 450th career appearance, scored a try for Dewsbury and won the man of the match award, a month before his 38th birthday.

Fair play.
