Wasn’t Tanginoa a direct replacement for Horo?

So my answers ‘No’ not like Tanginoa

I'm pretty sure those clubs will let people go too.
Just like the deals that have been done over past few weeks.

Maybe I’m being pedantic, I don’t know.

We started the season with a squad we were happy with then Horo expressed an interest to leave so we replaced a backrower for a backrower.

The proposed transfer deals involving our relegation rivals are a bit different in that they are strengthening where they’re weak in order to avoid relegation.

My question was, are we doing the same, have we got the capacity to buy in a couple of players to strengthen where we are weak. That’s not the same as replacing like for like

I do believe that the player quality we have at our disposal at present is easily capable of keeping us up without the need to bring players so long as we can turn our effort and attitude around in the next game or so .I simply cannot see a player coming in and doing that without it been a team wide decision to pull together and play as a unit .Though I do find it quite alarming how we have been allowed to be dragged into the mire without so much as a fight ,I’m still sure the answer lies in house

OK I see what you mean.
I'd love to see fresh legs on the team but I assume we can't.
MCB is already over and above the planned budget and I think we'd have done it by now if we had the money.

EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: Demetriou on speed dial : Tue Jul 09, 2019 10:44 am
This is an overreaction, although I understand the panic.

The reality is that we have had one bad game. Had we won on Saturday, the slump would have been over and we'd be joint fifth, kept out of the play-off spots on points difference only. So, is our problem was just that the players didn't have the right focus after two days sightseeing in Perpignan?

My concern is that the players have had the soft focus too many times this season. London, twice. Too many awful first halves. Is there an issue with the players being too relaxed with their coach? Pauli Pauli is maybe an example of this. Goes to Salford and he plays well. Comes back to Wakey and it's back to fun-time Pauli, flapping at attackers.

What I do think, however, is that the players care too much about the club, and probably MC and Chester, to let it slide, because the second-half fightbacks this year show that they can do it when they put their minds to it. The absence of social media this week, compared to the usual, shows a refocus, and hopefully the players have resolved to do what Chester asks them to do. I know it's a coaches job to kick them up the jacksy, but Chester's success has been down to the opposite approach. I just think the players have let him down, because they thought life was okay, laughing and joking, play-offs always in sight. Well, they're not now.

Agree with that except the highlighted bit. I’d say we’ve only had one GOOD game in about two months, against a Huddersfield team on a worse run than us at the time. That is the most worrying thing.

I disagree, we have won 2 of the last 9 league games with the only team beaten being Huddersfield. Deeper analysis shows that the performances are mixed between average and very poor.

The next 3 games don’t offer much of a chance of picking up league points and if the current form continues our points difference will suffer greatly.

Confidence is a huge asset while lack of it will destroy the best teams. If we go 2 from 12 which is likely and take a couple of heavy scores against us then confidence will be shot. That doesn’t leave us in a very good place for the run in to the seasons end.
