Was dropped but MCB injured apparently. Just shows, Rocky has played 44(ish?) games in a row, has utility value and can kick goals. Feel like we should be making more of an effort to keep him.

More than what effort?
We have as far as I know offered him a deal and he didn't want it.

It worries me putting him on the wing.
He was out jumped at the weekend twice and he'll have more pressure on the wing.

I'd rather go back to Arundal and Tupou.

Seems a bit odd him being in the 19 then? You hear it in the Fox & Grapes again by any chance?

It worries me more continuing to persevere with Miller, Brough, BJB & Pauli !

More effort than offering him a deal and then not being willing to negotiate after that. Fair enough if that is the approach as a club we take with all players but it clearly isn't. I would imagine most players don't accept the first offer that is made by a club.

Back to the game, agree about putting him on the wing, he's quick and safe under the high ball but he has always struggled to outjump players. Arundel and Tupou would be solid, plus Kershaw is playing in the reserves today - he must be a bit disappointed not to get the nod.

Lets wait and see the team but it would look like the Brough/Miller partnership (if you can call it that?) is set in stone. Memories of Chesters perseverance (or bloody mindedness) with a crocked Finn last year?

Re: Wigan away next : Wed Jul 17, 2019 1:13 pm
team selection will be the downfall of CC. On present form i dont think Miller should be first choice 6, didnt he spend quite a bit of time on the bench either last season or the season before.
We have Rocky who can play 1 6 0r 7 we have wood who can also play 7 and 9. We have Renolds who can play 1 or 6. We have what should be our first choice F B returning (Max). The debate should be who or what partnership plays in the halves no swapping things round to include the wing spot.
We already have cover in the centre that can play and have played on the wing. KEEP IT SIMPLE

As far as you know which is virtually nothing I'm afraid, of course he wanted it albeit on slightly different terms which was refused point blank with an ultimatum delivered, Carter has before going on holiday put the contract back on the table if he wants to sign it, he was dropped for this weeks game as he was last week but because MCB is unavailable he's now playing this week apparently, something else you didn't know either fwiw he was told that if he wanted to he could go to shudds this morning for the rest of the season with Roberts coming this way, which is a bit silly really as there was no mention of a contract there as well, one other thing I'll say is that Hampshire has been treated very shabbily and been bullied by the club so it's no surprise about the rumours regarding discontent in the camp if others are getting the same treatment.
