Of course not everyone over here ca afford to go, just as they may not be able to afford Magic in Manchester or 2 trips to London (like this season) but, there are plenty that would go, especially as a "one off" and you are forgetting all the French RL supporters who currently don get to see their side play too many away fixtures already.
Add to that the lure of say the Nou Camp or Stade de France and why not ?
There's one thing for sure, wherever they are planning to stage "magic" in France, it will be adman site cheaper than trying to get to Toronto.

Possibility of two trips to France and two Toronto for some depending on loop fixtures scrap the not so magic weekend its a waste of time

What about the accomodation, food, drink and ticket money? Is that cheaper too? On top of the family holiday elsehwere in the year?

It all depends which "events" you want to attend.
For me, I'd rather go to Perpignan each season then say, the Challenge Cup Final (unless Trinity were there) and for that, hotels etc are cheaper in France than London.
And for Magic, staged in Manchester or Liverpool, for me, the event just isn't Magic. Too many fans, form all clubs, just on the lash all day.
3/4 days over there makes an excellent break but, I do appreciate that we all have to make choices as to how we spend our time and money.

The flip side of this is that once every X years, at least the French fans get chance to attend magic in their own country and should Toulouse make it into SL, Magic over there would give them a boost too.
IMO it would be good for the game as a whole but, wont suit everyone.

Some who go to magic now, wouldn't attend but, there may be some who would go to France, who dont usually go to Manchester or Liverpool.

Quite correct ricardo. The Saints game was a classic and having lost a big lead we came through by a point if I remember correctly.
As for Trinity playing any games at Oakwell, I'm a season ticket holder for The Reds and I understand the current BoD don't want us playing there.
