Been down today and a slightly smoother drive along with a safer walk from car to Rollin's place. What you can achieve with some recycled road.

My guess if I were being positive would be that you’d want a better surface to put site offices on etc. Also you’d need a good base to tarmac on, eventually.

Still have that nagging doubt redevelopment is reliant upon Yorkcourt and to be Frank that make me think it will not be happening anytime soon (10 years and counting since the original NM application went in this April) if at all. If there is some truth re the capital investment group then that could be an avenue for redevelopment.

I don’t know why you have nagging doubts, I don’t. However we fund the redevelopment I doubt Yorkcourt will be directly involved in any way. That ship has sailed many times around the world.

What funds we do get will come via the Council, the FA and whatever funds the club can tap into.

Whether the council can work some deal with Yorkcourt in some way who knows but they can’t directly admit it because BV is now owned by a private ltd company. Something tax payers can’t fund.

I really don’t know how it will be done but I don’t think anyone trusts Yorkcourt to pay up.

Hate to say it but Rodney and his little football team along with a hopefully more receptive council is our best hope.

Sorry as I doubts that last bit makes you any more hopefull :(

Ultimately it's from MC stating the BV planning application is dependent upon a other being submitted up at NM. At the time Brexit and the election were cited as reasons the delay. The election has been decided and Brexit is imminent but still no planning application has been submitted. If nothing else the past 10 years of their involvement has made me doubt everything YC say they are going to do to fulfil their obligations.

Re the football club, I think I'm one of the more practical supporters who can see the opportunity they could bring to the table, Rodney and all, and rejecting that out of hand is cutting the nose off to spite the face.

It wasn't resurfacing, prepping for site offices or for laying tarmac, it was hole filling. a bit of levelling out for those using the car park. The' planings' are a temporary measure.

I've seen it and I never said it was resurfacing as such, however, how can you state it isn't prepping for tarmacking or site offices in the future. Despite your self-acclaimed expertise you don't know that any more than I do.

I'm not in the building trade but I've seen areas tarmacked and you know what, that's exactly what it looks like.

Of course, it's a temporary measure, as noted by others why would you tarmac an area that will hopefully soon be a building site. That said it's now a surface you could tarmac over at some point. Not Motorway standard I accept but then it's not a Motorway is it?
